New Sojka Fan Video

I wish that I had the guts and determination as a highschool student that Kyle Quiroz displays so effortlessly. He put together another video in support of Steve Sojka for Mayor. In this one, he’s written some new lyrics, worked on some choreography, and edited together a music video with family and friends, with an appearance from the Mayoral Candidate.

Kyle Quiroz, a Steve Sojka supporter, created a music video about Simi Valley in response to a challenge issued by Brian Dennert. Brian recently updated his readers with the following news:

I was out walking the other night and I came across the writer/singer of that song, Kyle Quiroz. We talked for a few minutes and he told me Youtube contacted him because they are now promoting his video. That basically means it is at the top of the search results for Simi Valley on Youtube and they are paying him. At around 4,000 views it isn’t much but I am proud that my blog helped launch the most viral campaign video in Ventura County Campaign history. I am more impressed that Youtube is now sharing ad revenue with Kyle.

What a fun bit of good news to be able to talk about during an election that has quickly become sour. I’m pleased for Kyle and congratulate him for a job well done. Kyle should be commended for not only answering Brian’s challenge, but for also putting himself out there to show his support for the community. He shows true character and I hope to have an opportunity to work with him in the future.

In this presentation, Keith covers most of the major issues, including Police Officer relations, the landfill, Council benefits, the business community, and his thoughts on appointments and term limits.

It’s a little raw and it’s definitely lengthy, but if you have 40 minutes to dedicate to watching this video, I recommend doing so. I figured the best way to present the video of the Burgers with Bob event was to show you the raw footage, which does include cuts here and there for sound adjustments and to replace a battery.

This includes Bob Huber’s presentation along with a question and answer section. Topics covered are business in Simi Valley and E-Verify, among others.

Don enjoys the nickname “Fluffy” because he feels it captures the essence of his gentle demeanor and delicate stature. I really enjoy Don’s work and find his video effects and quick cuts really cool.

More Council Meeting Highlights

One of the first things we saw in the City Council Meeting on Monday night was the presentation by the Farmers Insurance representative regarding their departure from Simi Valley. He read the letter aloud that was addressed to City Council a few days ago and then answered direct questions. Council Member Glen Becerra expressed his concerns:

Eric David Halub, former candidate for Simi Valley Mayor, presented a series of thoughts seemingly strung together on the fly. Among those thoughts was the notion that Council Salary/Benefits have been kept secret from the commuity. Council Member Sojka and candidate for Mayor responded during Council comments:

Another fantastic video from Team Huber. I spoke to Chris Huber, Bob’s son, this last Sunday at the Burgers for Bob event. He enjoys videography and takes pride in the work he’s doing for his father. I’m a fan of his work and think he has a lot of talent.

City Council Video Highlights

The August 30th City Council meeting was eventful, to say the very least. Here are some much talked about event highlights: Steve Frank and Bob Huber discussing E-Verify.

To start, I want to be fair and say that I do not believe Steve Frank has racist tendencies. But when his remarks began to border on racial profiling, an audible discomfort could be heard from the seats around me. Before it gets too out of hand, check out the video and judge for yourself.

Bob Huber is an outstanding public speaker. I think he did extremely well on Monday night. I suspect that he’s an effective attorney in courtroom situations. In this video, he shares his thoughts on E-Verify and answers questions from City Council.
